Join Team Denver Parent at this year’s Warrior Dash!

Did you make a New Years Resolution? Was it to be more active? To help others? If it was both I have the perfect event for you! Warrior Dash is a 5K obstacle course that raises money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is an organization that is dedicated to fighting childhood cancer. Every year they hold the Warrior Dash and invite normal everyday heroes the chance to battle on behalf of the children they serve. This year you can join us, Team Denver Parent, at the Colorado Warrior Dash on September 15th.

Warrior Dash, 2016,  was the first obstacle course run I completed. I was hesitant to try obstacle course racing. I was concerned that I would not be able to complete the obstacles, that I would hurt myself, that I would look silly next to the real athletes. What I found was that anyone could complete the course. I’m not saying it was easy, just that anyone that wants to give it a go can finish (there was a group of visually impaired athletes competing).

I ran Warrior Dash 2017 with my son. It was easy to talk him into running with me, we have been doing road races together for years. The age requirement to run the course has been lowered from 14 to 10 so more of your little warriors can participate this year! Still not old enough?

Warrior Dash 2018 will include a practice area for children 9 and under that includes obstacle and mud, adult supervision is required and the cost is $10 per child.

This year I’m excited to have a team by my side as I conquer the course. Be there with us as we conquer the obstacles on the course and together we will help children in need conquer the much more difficult obstacles they face.
