Nicole Nageli, local 13 year old wins 2016 Moonbeam Children’s Book Award

image005Nicole Nageli, a 13 year old from Castle Rock, has realized her dream of publishing her original graphic novel, The Adventures of Kate the Cat. Nicole’s journey began with a passion for drawing she discovered in the third grade. Her passion for drawing evolved into a desire to tell stories with her pictures and from there into the idea she could create an entire graphic novel.  Nicole, when she was 12, spent a 7 months in the Young image001Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA) and was awarded a $500 grant to begin her business,
N3 Cartoons. YEA was an educational and financial help to Nicole. She credits the program for teaching her how to run a business (create a business plan, manage finances, and public speaking) as well as giving her the time management skills necessary to manage a business and middle school.

image006The Adventures of Kate the Cat recently won a Moonbeam Children’s Book Award in the category of Best Book by Young Author and is available on Amazon, and will soon be available at I Want More Comics in Northglenn.
I Want More Comics is excited to support Nicole in her endeavors and has invited her to appear at Free Comic Book Day on  May 6, 2017.
Nicole looks forward to growing her business and is currently working on her second graphic novel, Kate the Cat’s Christmas Mystery, chronicling Kate’s adventures. Look for it sometime before Christmas 2016.
