Starfest is this weekend in Denver! Running today and tomorrow, the annual Star Fest , founded in 1977, has grown to encompass several smaller conventions. Spread across 3 hotels, the event has more than a bit to offer to any geeky family. How do I know if my family would enjoy it? Do you have one or more family members who like?:

The people watching is fun and the people are great (so excited to have their pictures taken!)! The costumed attendees LOVED that my son went crazy over them (seriously, there’s a Chewbacca out there who continued high-fiving him when ever he passed him!) and were very friendly and fun to hang out with.
Don’t worry about having enough things to keep the kids engaged. There are tons of things to look at and buy, games to play (board and computer), models to build, entertainers to watch and so much more!
Celebrity guests in 2013 include Avery Brooks (“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”), Ben Browder (“Farscape,” “Stargate”) and Melissa McBride (“The Walking Dead”) and dozens of panels including a ton of cool vendors with great geeky stuff.
Round-the-clock activities Friday-Sunday. Denver Marriott Tech Center, Hilton Garden Inn and the Hyatt DTC $25-$55 at the door (at the Marriot).
