Bolder Boulder 2019: A Great Fit for Family Fun!

We love to promote fitness and the Bolder BOULDER is one of our premier area races (and one of the most fun). It was named America’s All-Time Best 10K by Runner’s World, and is the third largest running race in the United States and the fifth largest in the world!

The 2019 race, held on Memorial Day, May 27th, starts at 30th and Walnut in Boulder and winds through neighborhoods with live music and entertainment at every corner. The race finishes at the University of Colorado’s Folsom Field and attracts over 100,000 spectators throughout the course.

Despite the fact that runners from all 50 states and approximately 15 countries participate each year, race organizers are also committed to the community around them and this year there are a few new and updated features specifically for families!

Runner Tracker App

The Runner Tracker app is new this year. You can see in real time where a runner is located and also get push notifications as the runner completes the course. Children under the age of 14 will automatically have the tracking function disabled for safety reasons, but parents can opt their kids back in if they want to track them. This is a great way for spectators to be ready to cheer on their families! Get it here.

BBRacers Club for Elementary and Middle school

This program encourages students to pursue a healthy and active lifestyle. Through a series of challenges, students learn how to work toward goals and feel a sense of pride. Five waves are dedicated to the BBRacers Club. Register here.

Interactive Race Day Expo

The fun continues after the race! Families are encouraged to explore the RaceDayEXPO, which is full of fun vendors such as Jelly Belly, BOBO’s, and more family-friendly locations. Click here for more information.

Course Entertainment

A 10k can be daunting, especially for families with younger kids, so, we’ve packed the course full of fun and unique entertainment to help keep everyone happy and engaged. For more information, click here.

There is still time to sign up for race day!
