Guest post: Major League Lacrosse with the Denver Outlaws

Did you know that there is a major league lacrosse team right here in Denver?  Since our move to Denver last fall, we have been trying to go to just one game for each of the various major and minor league sports.  We haven’t been able to make them all, but we have outlaws2sure tried!  Sports, both amateur and professional, can be a fun way to spend an evening together as a family.

The Denver Outlaws are a professional major league lacrosse team and they play their home games at Sports Authority Field.  This was the first time we have been to this stadium.  It was fun to walk around and explore the stadium.  We took pictures in front of the stadium and we checked out the snack bar offerings.  Because only the first section, 100-128, seems to be used for seating during the lacrosse games, odds are that you are going to have a pretty good view of the game.

If you haven’t seen lacrosse played, you might be surprised by the game.  It is a nonstop, contact sport that will keep you and your family entertained from beginning to end.  With the exception of a few timeouts and a halftime, the players of the game are constantly moving.  As we watched the ball fly across the field, we were amazed at how the players caught it with their lacrosse sticks with ease.  My daughter woutlaws1as mesmerized by the Denver Outlaws’ Dance Team who help to keep the audience riled up during the game.

The Denver Outlaws only have two more home games so you don’t have long to check them out before this year’s season ends.  On July 4th, the Denver Outlaws will celebrate their 8th Annual Mile High Fourth of July celebration.

Ticket prices range from $20 to $40.  If those prices are a bit too steep with all of your other summer fun (believe me…one month into summer and we are having to scale back our fun spending!), purchase the Jumpstreet Family of 4-Pack ticket outlaws4package for the July 27th game against the Chesapeake Bayhawks.  For $49, you will receive four general admission tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas, and a 2-hour outing to Jump Street for two.  When we attend professional or amateur sports games, we always try to find these family four packs.  It helps bring the cost down to a more reasonable price for a family of four.  The July 27th game is also Fan Appreciation Day where the first 5,000 fans will receive a free team poster.

*Thank you to the Denver Outlaws for providing tickets to the game. All opinions are mine and mine alone.
