One extra reason, as the May issue of Colorado Gardener (a free publication) mentioned, “Since virtually all GMO crops are grown using systemic, neonicotinoid-treated seeds & pesticides – the major concern of beekeepers – labeling laws would also help consumers avoid crops with bee killing pesticides if they so choose.” Neonicotinoid – a fun word to say/pronounce. Not a fun word in our food!! Related to nicotine & we all know what that can do over time! It’s already killed 50% of our bee collonies, as Harvard definitively linked the bee collony collapse with neonicotinoids. Vote YES on 105, so you can have the information you need to make the most informed choice for your family & the environment.
