How do I do it all? Not sure if I do … but I sure try. I guess I don’t know how to say no, but I also try to manage my time correctly. I am usually up late and I get a lot done via email (I don’t know how we existed before email!). The ability to communicate with people when it works for me and for them is great. Often I catch up on my todo’s late a night, but luckily my kid’s school doesn’t start until 9 so we also don’t get up until around 8. I also don’t work full time. I found a great balance for me and my family is to work about 30 hours a week. This allows me time to participate in school volunteer opportunities, community volunteer opportunities and still work and be with my family. If I won a mani-pedi for me and a friend … I would take my friend, Ange who is also a full time working mom who I am sure could use some fund girl time!

I DON’T do it all! I work part-time and am home with my two kiddos the rest of the time. It’s hard work, and I do find that a little pampering really helps. I’d love to get a pedi and to take along another mama friend.

Working a part-time position with a local non-profit, running my own business, having two kiddos that are very involved in activities, being active with our church, etc. etc., I have to use my time effectively. Starting the day off with positive thoughts and mantras set the day off right. Yoga and running keep me sane, wine and chocolate keep me happy, and positive family/friends keep me laughing, which is the best medicine of all 🙂
